Yea you are right social media is a really good method. I always suggest newbies to start with free methods - and yea...reading is the key to succes if somebody hopes to make money online without reading then he won't make anything else than losing his money/time. I would caution "Newbies" to be very careful how you approach PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising. It can be a very good way of not only advertising but of testing and tracking. However I liken it to a loaded gun. It can be very effective if aimed in the right direction. However it's also just as easy to shoot yourself in the foot! I believe that organic SEO especially through social media is a very good way to get started, learn a lot and is very cheap.
